Baltzer Marketing LLC (“Baltzer Marketing,” “we,” “us”) is a digital marketing agency. This policy explains what information we collect when you use baltzermarketing.com (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site and to the emails, calls, and messages we send you because you contacted us through it.
This policy does not cover the websites, advertising accounts, or customer data of the law firms and businesses we work for. Our work on a client’s behalf is governed by our agreement with that client and by the client’s own privacy policy.
Information you give us
You can use most of the Site without telling us who you are. We collect personal information only when you choose to send it:
- Contact form. Your name, email address, and message, plus your phone number and firm name if you include them.
- Booking a call. When you schedule a call with us, our scheduling tool collects your name, email address, phone number, and any notes you add, and records the time you booked.
- Newsletter. Your email address when you subscribe.
- Email and phone. Anything you send us directly, and notes we take during calls with you.
The Site does not collect payment information.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and the services below receive standard technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, the site or ad that sent you here, and a cookie or similar identifier that lets a service recognize your browser on a later visit. This information is collected through cookies, pixels, and tags placed by:
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, which tell us how the Site is used in aggregate.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn advertising tags, which measure whether our ads led to a visit or an inquiry and may show you our ads later on those platforms. This is sometimes called remarketing.
- Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move through pages (scrolling, clicks, and taps) and builds heatmaps and session replays from it. Text you type into forms is masked.
- Our web host and content delivery network, which log requests to keep the Site running and secure.
These services set their own cookies and are governed by their own privacy policies. When you send a form, our records may note which page or ad brought you to the Site.
How we use your information
- To answer your inquiry, schedule and hold the call you booked, and follow up about working together.
- To send the newsletter you subscribed to, and occasional emails about our services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To understand which pages and ads bring visitors, so we can improve the Site and our own advertising.
- To keep the Site secure, block spam and abuse, and diagnose technical problems.
- To meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations.
Calls and text messages
If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your inquiry or a call you booked, such as a confirmation or reminder. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts, or tell us on a call. Message and data rates may apply. We do not share phone numbers or text-message consent with any third party for their own marketing.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run parts of our business for us: our website host, email and newsletter service, customer relationship management and scheduling software, video meeting service, and accounting and invoicing software. Each is permitted to use your information only to provide its service to us.
- The advertising and analytics platforms named above, which receive the automatically collected information described in that section.
- Authorities and advisors when the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public.
- A successor if Baltzer Marketing is sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.
Your choices
- Email. Click unsubscribe in any marketing email, or write to us at the address below. We will still send emails needed to deliver a service you asked for, such as a call confirmation.
- Cookies. Your browser lets you block or delete cookies. The Site still works with cookies off, but analytics and ad measurement will not record your visit.
- Personalized ads. You can opt out of Google’s ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, of Meta’s in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, of LinkedIn’s in your LinkedIn ad settings, and of many advertisers at once at optout.aboutads.info.
- Access, correction, and deletion. Email us and we will tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We may keep records we need for accounting, legal, or security reasons, and copies may remain in backups for a limited time before they are overwritten.
We honor these choices for every visitor, whichever state or country you are in. If a privacy law where you live gives you additional rights, you can exercise them through the same email address. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and booking details for as long as we are in contact with you about working together, and for two years afterward in case you come back. Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and as long as tax and accounting rules require. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of each platform.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, so information you send through it is encrypted in transit. Access to the systems that hold your information is limited to Baltzer Marketing and the service providers listed above, and protected by passwords and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be accessed without authorization. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Children
The Site is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
The Site links to other websites, including client sites, tools we write about, and social media. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will update the date at the bottom of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will also email you or post a notice on the Site before it takes effect.
