I’m reviewing one of my family law clients, and one of their offices is taking off on Google. 592 people viewed its Google Business Profile in September, up from 182 a year ago.

Top Searches, September 2026
When we took over, the profile showed up mostly for searches of the firm’s own name. In September, not one of the top five searches was the firm’s name.

These are people looking for exactly what this firm does. Someone who searches your firm’s name already knows you, from a referral, a past client, or a sign on the road. Someone who searches “divorce lawyer near me” hasn’t picked a lawyer yet. Those are the searches that bring new cases.
The Google Ads Value of These Searches
Let’s pretend these were Google Ads clicks. Conservatively, they’d be worth $10 each. That’s $1,300 from the top five searches alone, before counting all the other searches like these that brought people to the firm in September.
Our Work on This Client
We run this firm’s marketing: Google Ads and Local Services Ads, SEO, the website we rebuilt this summer, a monthly blog post, a monthly email newsletter, and social media posts every day. It all runs together as one well-oiled machine.
We call it an outsourced marketing department, and it costs the firm less than one mid-level marketing employee.
If you want more people who need a lawyer finding your firm, talk to us.
